Our company has quite a lot of custom templates microsoft word 2013 icon names free incorporate macros etc. In Word we could change how the template menu appeared so that a briefer \”List\” style of menu appeared microsoft word 2013 icon names free of the \”Icon\” style of menu. This made it easier to select the required template from the variety available.

Office Start Screen shows tiles of some predefined templates which help users in creating new documents quickly and easily. But it\’s still not working as it should. I just want my templates in this dialog, nothing more, nothing less. So, is there any more tweaks I colud do?

In reply to Rohn\’s post on October 1, Appreciate this tip. Makes the programs launch much faster also. I also like the tip above, customizing the Quick Access bar. If Word is like previous versions, it may not suffice to move or delete the built-in templates because they seem to be regenerated from the executable.

Word docs still have generic icon, though I\’ve successfully created a new Iconcache. Can I manually insert a Word icon into the Iconcache. In reply to TJLangan\’s post on April 26, Have you tried right clicking on a document in Windows Explorer and selecting Open with Thanks, but that was one of the first fix attempts. Didn\’t work, still doesn\’t. Microsoft Tech Support couldn\’t solve this \”Word Icon\” problem either. Even after they upgraded my Office to Office Professional, the generic icon for docx files remained.
